Before getting into this post I just wanted to say this product has been kindly gifted to me by HashtagBlogger who I have recently become an ambassador for and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity, however all opinions are my honest and real opinion.
i received the Maybelline bronzer and highlight brick duo in the shade 001. I would usually opt for a darker shade for my bronzer however this is a perfect shade for my ‘no makeup days’ where I don’t want to look like I have makeup on but still want to bronze up my face or just want a more natural coloured bronzer.
I love compact products that have more than one purpose they are so handy to carry in your bag on the go to save you taking multiple different items.
The bronzer in this is such a lovely shade, I use it on top of my liquid bronzer and it intensifies the colour without looking muddy or grey like you can get with a lot of bronzers.
I don’t actually use the highlight as a highlighter I swirl my brush round and use it for my blusher to add a healthy colour into my face, as for my highlighter I personally like something darker and more intense however if you like a subtle glow then this would be perfect for you! The best thing about the highlight is that it is not glittery at all which I tend to find with a lot of highlight products, it gives off a lovely shimmer.
I would highly recommend this product, it is so affordable and you get 2 products in 1?! I would definitely rate this a strong 8/10. Go give it a try girls! X
Yes I am late to the hype with this product but it was so hard to get hold of, I managed to grab one about 3 weeks ago and like to test it for a couple of weeks before giving a true opinion.
Now, when it comes to stick foundations I am not the biggest lover, I have previously tried the Makeup Forever HD foundation stick after hearing sooo many good things about it but I absolutely hated it and with the near £30 price point it just wasn’t worth it in my eyes. But I am a big lover of Revolution makeup and at only £5 I just had to try this foundation stick.
This foundation comes in 18 shades which is amazing for the drugstore as usually there are only about 7/8 different shades? I picked up F8 which on the Superdrug website is described as being for ‘medium skin tones with yellow undertone’ I always wear fake tan so always look for a foundation with a yellow undertone rather than pink.
I have quite dry skin so was sceptical before using this as I usually tend to go for a liquid foundation that I can blend in with a sponge. I used a budding brush to blend the foundation in and then went over it with a damp sponge. I heard that this foundation was very dewy and easy to move around so it needed setting but with my skin type I very rarely set my face with a powder as my foundation never moves and I don’t want to dry out my skin even more so the first time I used it I didn’t set it and after about 6 hours it had started to go very oily and even coming off my chin.
The next time I used it I did use a setting powder but only where the foundation came away before and it lasted well but I still wasn’t overly impressed with the product. However after a couple more uses I realised how much I actually prefer it to some of my higher end foundations! Everyone needs to try this foundation and now I am excited to try the foundations from the Revolution Pro range!
I am so happy it’s finally nice weather in England, I love spring/summer fashion so much and every blogger knows how much easier the sun and lighter nights makes taking photos!
I have recently found a new found love for mom jeans, I have always been a skinny jean kinda gal however mom jeans are just soo much comfier and just an absolute dream to wear so I will definitely be on the look out for some more.
I am also absolutely loving the colour red at the minute, can you tell? It is just such a gorgeous colour to incorporate in to an outfit. o b s e s s e d . . .
I went in to my local superdrug to pick one up and went for the shade C3, I like my under eye to be quite bright and this was the lightest one that didn’t have pink undertones however I do want to get shade C6 for when I have tanned or just want less of a bright undereye.
Of course, the same as everyone else as soon as I saw the doe foot applicator I thought of the tarte shape tape concealer but for a fraction of the price. The formula is so thick but also creamy and very blendable. I use a damp beautyblender for my concealer because I always tend to crease so don’t like too much product, I struggle to find a concealer due to this reason however the Makeup Revolution concealer is by far the best – yes I still crease but compared to other products it is very minimal.
I would recommend anyone to go and buy this concealer, it is such a bargain! I can see 2018 being a very good year for Makeup Revolution…
I am obsessed with this outfit, I have been loving the look of blazers for so long I just needed to get my hands on one, I just love how they make any outfit look smart but also makes you feel like a boss lady.
Every girl now seems to own a gucci belt and as nice as they are there is no way I would pay the £240 price tag so I picked up this belt for £3 from Primark, it is not trying to be a ‘fake’ version of a Gucci belt it just has the stand out gold rings and I am loving it.
Hey everyone, it feels so strange to be writing this after almost a full year without writing a single blog post. I used to absolutely love blogging but somewhere along the line I just fell out of love with it. Around christmas time I started thinking about all sorts of different posts I could do for my blog and different outfits and I started to miss the whole blogsphere world. So here I am… new year, fresh start on the blog and it feels so good to be back.
Every girl should own a pair of knee high boots right? I live in mine from October until April. They can make any outfit look instantly better. This jumper is so cosy and I just love all the pearl detailing on it, I paired it with a leather skirt and tights and the pearls just make the outfit so much more interesting and less boring.

I have been obsessed with using fake tan for years, my first tan being St Moriz (if you know, you know) When I was around 15. I am now 21 and think it’s safe to say i’ve had my fair share of disasters but feel like I have spent enough years experimenting to find a routine that works well for me.
The first thing I do when it comes to tanning is soak in the bath the night before and shave, exfoliate and all that jazz. I always shave the night prior as otherwise I find it stings and doesn’t go on as well as it should because of my pores being open, the reason I get a bath instead of shower is so I can fully soak my body to make sure I remove any old tan before I put a fresh layer on.
So the night after that I will tan, I prefer to tan on the night so I can sleep in it and it will develop as I sleep rather than being a sticky mess all day and having to worry about what to wear etc. A few hours before I will moisturise my face as this acts like a barrier cream and stops it clinging to any dry patches and by putting it on a few hours before it sinks into the skin more. I will also put some on my elbows, knees and any dry areas I may have just before tanning to stop build up.
My favourite ever tan is the cocoa brown one hour tan, I have been using this tan for a good 2 years now and it is honestly the best I have tried although I do branch out to try new ones, nothing so far has ever beat this.
Below is my before and after photo:
If you use this tan I would love to see your before and after! Or please leave me any tans you think I should try in the comments!
